Twenty BVFD firefighters spent the day training with ESI on Winch operations. The class was taught by Pat Grub from ESI and consisted of 4 classroom hours followed by several practical techniques. With the arrival of Rescue Engine 27, a portable winch was purchased for the apparatus. This class trained our firefighters safe, efficient & effective rescue operations of using this important piece of equipment. Fairfield Fire & EMS also sent RE2 with 6 firefighters for the class.
This afternoon Rescue Engine 27 with a crew of 5 assisted with the Adams County Cadet Academy by Demonstrating Vehicle Extrication Techniques at the Adams County Training Center. RE27’s crew used our Holmatro Hydraulic Tools to show door pops, door removals, and other various auto extrication skills. “The Valley” is proud to take part in building our future Adams County Volunteer Firefighters.
