Engine Tanker 27 & Brush 27 was alerted just before noon for a Woods Fire on Church Road, Box 27-1. Brush 27 arrived making access to the area while ET 27 staged on the road for water supply. The assignment was held to 27. The units cleared in 30 minutes

Engine Tanker 27 and Rescue Engine 27 responded on a Box Assignment in the 4500 blk of Chambersburg Rd, Box 4-2 (Cashtown). ET 27 arrived and stretched a line assisting Engine 4-1 with knocking down a wind driven brush fire before it reached the nearby structure. Units picked up and returned 20 minutes later.
Effective January 1, 2018, there will be a $5 increase for our Seafood Feast Tickets. The new prices are: Adults $35, Children ages 6-11 remains $15, Age 5 and under free. Last weekend our Fire Ground Support class began for local firefighters working toward achieving their Firefighter I certification. Buchanan Valley FD was happy to host this class which is part of our ongoing commitment to provide local training to our volunteers. This class will wrap up in the next few weeks and prior to the trainee’s entering the next phase of their firefighter training.
