A Journey Starts

Today was the first day of Intro to the Fire Service Training (previously called Module A) hosted at the Buchanan Valley Volunteer Fire Department. This class is the first step in a series of 4 fire training classes for new firefighters.  BVFD will be hosting the entire “Firefighter 1” Program this year.  As you can see in the picture there are many new young men and women that today marks the start of a hopeful long commitment to the fire service.  This class is also serving as a refresher for some veteran firefighters.  The officers of BVFD would also like to extend our appreciation to their families for understanding that Sundays in 2015, these students will be with their second family at BVFD.  As the Program continues we will post updates on our webpage.  Mod A BVFD 003
