Open Burning Concerns

As with much of the South Central Region, We are currently experiencing extreme dry conditions in Buchanan Valley.  BVFD would like to urge all residents to refrain from any open burning until moderate rain is received.  Looking at the current weather reports, this could be several days.  At this time there is not an official burn ban in effect, yet.  Please remember that as a property owner, you are responsible for a fire that originates on your property.  This can include liability and costs for extinguishment.  If you have any questions in regards to open burning, please contact Chief Spielman
