Around noon today, Company 27 was alerted for the brush fire spreading towards exposures on New Road (27-4). Rescue Engine 27 and the Lieutenant with 4 was out the door on initial. RE27 quickly arrived to find a quick spreading fire towards a house in tall uncut field grass. Rescue Engine 27 and Brush 27 quickly contained the fire. Units continued to work the fire line and hot spots with the assistance of Co 4 (Cashtown). The balance of the response was returned.
