Shortly before lunch today, Company 27 was alerted for the grass on fire at the Michaux shooting range on Birch Run Road (27-3) Chief 27 arrived to find a quick spreading fire into the mountain and requested additional resources. Brush, Engine Tanker and Special Unit 27 responded. With teamwork from several mutual aid Departments, the fire was contained to only 5 acres. DCNR will be remaining on the scene until a soaking rain.
