Last Evening BVFD member Jake Shafer graduated as a member of class 61 with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. Jake worked very hard through several hiring processes to achieve his dream of becoming a career firefighter. He began the 28-week academy last April completing the skills needed to become a certified Firefighter, National Registry Emergency Medical Technician, and Physical Exercise Requirements.

Additionally, BVFD members Tim Baldwin and Jeremy Jeffcoat were promoted in their careers for the District of Columbia Fire Department. Tim Baldwin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and Jeremy Jeffcoat was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
